Virtuoso by WPZoom is a theme for online portfolios. It offers custom post types for portfolios as well as for testimonials.

  • Facebook Like Box
  • Flikr
  • Recent Comments
  • Recent Posts
  • Single Post
  • Social
  • Testimonials
  • Twitter

The theme incorporates five widgetized areas:

  • Homepage Content
  • Sidebar
  • three Footer Columns

Virtuoso offers the following page templates:

  • Default
  • Blog
  • Full-width Page
  • Portfolio
  • Reveres Sidebar

The WPZoom panel includes a Theme Options page and an Update Framework page.

The Theme Options panel presents seven vertical tabs:

  • General
  • Homepage
  • Banners
  • SEO
  • Miscellaneous
  • Framework
  • Import/Export

Each tab on its turn has one or more sub tabs, offering you an easy way to personalize the theme.

The content area on the homepage can be assembled from

  • Welcome Message
  • three Services Columns
  • Portfolio Message
  • three Portfolio posts
  • two Action Buttons
  • Recent Posts
  • (Random) Testimonial

Virtuoso comes with three colour styles: default (purple), blue, and orange.

Within the General settings, you have the ability to set your preferred configuration concerning the posts’ meta data, comments, and social share buttons.

The theme comes with support for the following networks: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Skype, Dribble, Tumblr, Flikr, and Vimeo. When enabled, the relevant icons will be displayed in the footer.

At the SEO tab, you can tweak your SEO preferences regarding the title tag, homepage meta, indexing, and canonical URLs.

The Import/Export options give you the means to backup, transfer and restore the settings of the theme itself as well as of the widgets.

Outside the panel, the theme adds two modules to the WordPress menu for the custom post types Testimonials and Portfolio. The latter with its own category – Portfolio Types.

The Featured Image is supported partly, meaning the Featured Image will show up on index pages, but not on the single post page as the first image. You will need to push the Insert into Post button, right next to the Use as featured image link to achieve that goal.

The theme extends the Add New/Edit Post screen with two Post Options:

  • Post Thumbnail Crop Location – Virtuoso give you nine options
  • Show Featured Image on Post Page – your options are Don’t Show, Full Width, and Before Title

The price stated of $69 is for a Standard license, which includes two themes – next to the purchased theme, you are allowed to pick a bonus theme for free. Furthermore, this license includes access to documentation, tutorials, the support forum, and theme updates.

WPZoom also offers a Developer license for $149, which adds a second bonus theme and PSD files. In addition you can also sign-up for the Standard or Developer Membership.
